Nuthouse Productions has recently joined artistic forces with the UBC Players Club as founder Eurassia has signed on as Vice President of Affairs on the Executive Council. The Players Club, founded shortly after the university opened in the 1900s, was a radical group of visionary artists who worked determinedly and eventually gave rise to the theatre program at UBC (Now the Department of Creative Writing, Theatre, and Film). After reformatting the old Executive and scheduling in a huge assortment of events, the Players Club is working at a revolution year in which they shall return the glory and artistic merit that once ruled within the club and its members. Updates on Players Club hosted events will certainly be posted on our Calendar page. So stay tuned for an amazing revolutionary year for both Nuthouse Productions and the Players Club, and have fun getting involved in both! First Summer Meeting for Nuthouse Radio When: 6-8 pm, Monday, May 31st (meeting may end earlier) Where: CiTR Lounge, Room 233 of the Student Union Building, UBC Note: Please bring an informal resume and/or samples of your previous work for Eurassia to review. Don't worry, we're not looking for anything formal or fancy. Everyone is welcome! The Nuthouse Breaks Through LIVE RADIO! Nuthouse Radio and UBC'S CiTR Radio 101.9FM in Vancouver bring the public "Nuthouse Radio Theatre Live!", going-to-air JANUARY 13TH, 2005. We are looking for ongoing writers, actors, board operators, and promotions assistants for this permanent biweekly show consisting of original drama, comedy, performance art and improv. STOP" Has Been Approved by the Dirty Hands Festival! April 13th-15th
"What is amazing about humans is how afraid we are of not only our own lives, but each other." A five-minute performance piece involving two main characters. Set at a bus stop, performances will take place at an actual transit station five times a day (11am, 11:30am, 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm). Performances are weekdays April 13th-23th at the SUB Bus Loop (UBC Bus Exchange) as part of the Dirty Hands Festival. Admission is, of course, free.
